Editor Donald R. Anderson, founder of Poets' Espresso has been chief editor of: Poet’s Espresso (now known as Poets’ Espresso Review) newsletter (founded 2005) until June-July 2010, co-editor of: Artifact magazine (for two half semesters), comb-bound anthologies Midnight Dance/Pathos, Naked Poetry, and Darwin’s Children, paperback anthologies Sun Shadow Mountain: Poetry and Art Anthology and (its sequel) Moon Mist Valley: Poetry and Art Anthology, assistant in editing Zine World #28, creator of numerous zines and websites. He was Secretary of the Writers’ Guild club of San Joaquin Delta College, and has been known in the past to help friends put their books, chapbooks, and anthologies into format for printing.
As a poet, Donald R. Anderson has had poetry published in ¡Zam Bomba!, Blue Moon Press, Rattlesnake Press, Artifact (before becoming co-editor), The Collegian, A Poem a Day: An Anthology (Edited by Chantel C. Guidry), Dwarf Stars 2008, Poetry Now, Manzanita: Wild Edges (2010), A Taste of Literary Elegance: Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate (2015), published online on Medusa’s Kitchen (blog), Poet’s Corner Press, Liquid Imagination, Paper Dollz (blog), and Farmhouse Magazine and a small award in the annual contest by the Stockton Arts Commission for “Suddenly a Fearsome Crow.” He was also one of the judges for the National League of American Pen Women’s NorCal Poetry and Prose Letters Contest in 2009. He has participated in featured readings, open mic readings, and hosted poetry readings, and participated in and hosted poetry workshops on occasion at coffee shops, book stores, and libraries.
As Designer and IT support specialist, Donald R. Anderson created the cover art for the Papernet Gazet May 2009 and won 2nd place in one of the graphic art categories at the San Joaquin Delta College’s Arts Fest 2008. He has maintained websites for the projects in poetry and art publishing as well as for clients of varying interests, and dabbled in audio like the CD Blue: Poetry to Music, and classes in RTV at SJDC. He has certificates in Web Development Applications, Graphic Arts, and Desktop Support, and provides tech support independently . He works at Walgreens currently.
